Top 20 Oil and Gas Producers in Kansas
The following tables show oil and gas production for the top 20 operators for the state fiscal year from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 (FY2002). Tables were generated from relational databases maintained by the Kansas Geological Survey using data supplied by the Kansas Department of Revenue. Given that productive leases are continuously transferred between operators, production for individual operators may not be current.
During FY2002, a total of 2,288 operators reported oil production of 33,585,682 barrels, which is down from the 34,273,223 barrels reported in FY2001. The top 20 operators produced 2,175,210 barrels of oil, and accounted for 36.25% of total production.
Gas production during FY2002 was reported by 989 operators and totaled 472 billion cubic feet (bcf), which is down from the 494 bcf reported in FY2001. The top 20 operators produced 387 bcf of gas, and accounted for 81.8% of total production.
