Fiscal Year 2004 Kansas Oil & Gas Production

During FY2004, a total of 1,706 operators reported oil production of 34,047,466 barrels, which is up from the 33,585,682 barrels reported in FY2002. The top 20 operators produced 12,904,867 barrels of oil, and accounted for 37.9% of total production.

Gas production during FY2004 was reported by 903 operators and totaled 414 billion cubic feet (Bcf), which is down from the 472 Bcf reported in FY2002. The top 20 operators produced 320 Bcf of gas, and accounted for 77.3% of total production.

This data covers the state fiscal year from July 1, 2003 , through June 30, 2004 (FY2004). Tables were generated from relational databases maintained by the Kansas Geological Survey using data supplied by the Kansas Department of Revenue. Given that productive leases are continuously transferred between operators, production for individual operators may not be current.
